Fabric and construction

The shell is an 82.5% polyester, 17.5% spandex knit, which is why the jacket feels smooth and cool rather than brushed or fleecy. The polyester keeps the surface dry to the touch and holds colour through washing, while the spandex share gives the fabric its high, four-way stretch, so it moves with the shoulder and elbow instead of pulling across the back. It is a single layer with no lining, which keeps the jacket light enough for heated rooms and easy to layer over a bra top.

Construction follows the body: princess-style seams run from the shoulder down through the waist, and the front zip is set behind a self-fabric guard so the teeth do not touch your skin. The cuffs are cut narrow to sit flat at the wrist, and hems are cover-stitched so they lie flat against the hip. Slight variation of 1 to 2 cm between pieces is normal for knitwear.

Fit and sizing

This is a close-fitting jacket that runs true to standard US sizing. It is designed to sit against the body with room for a thin bra top underneath, not to be worn over a hoodie. Sizes run from S to XXL; if you are between two sizes, size up for a softer fit through the shoulder and a little more room at the waist, or stay with your usual size for a compressed, second-skin look.

Because the knit is high stretch, the shoulder and bust measurements matter most. Measure around the fullest part of the bust and across the shoulder blades, then choose the size that matches. If you plan to wear it mainly as an outer layer over a padded sports bra, take the larger of your two measurements.

Is it warm enough for outdoor runs?

It is a single-layer, unlined knit, so it works as a light layer in mild weather or over a bra top. In cold wind you will want something heavier; this jacket is built for studio wear, warm-ups and shoulder-season runs.

Does the zip stay up when I move?

The zip runs the full length of the front and sits behind a self-fabric guard, so it stays flat against the body. Zipping it to the collarbone keeps the collar standing; leaving it open gives a softer neckline.

Will it show through?

The knit is dense and stays opaque in normal wear. Over a dark or high-contrast bra the outline may show slightly in bright light, which is normal for a close-fitting single-layer jacket.

How should I wash it?

Cold machine wash with like colours, no bleach, tumble dry low or hang to dry, and no ironing or dry cleaning. Close the zip before washing so the teeth do not catch on the knit.
