The details

Fabric and construction

The body is a 82.5% polyester, 17.5% spandex knit. That ratio is the reason the bra feels dense rather than thin: the polyester gives it a dry, matte hand and keeps colour from fading, while the spandex share lets the fabric stretch in every direction and come back to its shape. Dense knitting also means the fabric stays opaque in normal wear, including in lighter colourways, and holds a smooth surface over the bust instead of rippling.

The cups are moulded thin and fixed in place, so there are no removable pads to lose in the wash or bunch up mid-class. Edges are bonded rather than bulky-stitched, which keeps the neckline flat under clothing, and the underband is a double layer for support. The back straps are joined at a single point and split into mesh panels, which keeps the shoulder line clean while adding airflow. Slight variation of 1 to 2 cm between pieces is normal for knitwear.

Fit and sizing

This is a close-fitting, high-support bra that runs true to standard US sizing. It is designed to feel firm around the ribcage when you first put it on, then settle as the knit warms to your body. Sizes run from S to XXL; if you are between two sizes, size up for a more relaxed band and softer compression, or stay with your usual size if you prefer a locked-in feel for running and HIIT.

The underband does the work here, so the band measurement matters more than the cup. Measure snugly around your ribs, just under the bust, and choose the size that matches that measurement. If you are long in the torso and prefer a little more coverage from a crop bra, sizing up also gives you a slightly longer line.

Questions

Is it see-through?

The knit is dense and stays opaque in normal wear, including the lighter colours. Under very bright studio light or in a wet fabric test you may see a slight outline, which is normal for a thin moulded cup.

Will the underband roll or dig in?

The band is a double-layer wide band rather than a narrow elastic, so it distributes pressure over a larger area and sits flatter against the ribs. It is designed to stay level through overhead movement; if you are between sizes, sizing up reduces compression.

Can I train and swim in it?

It is built for high-support training such as running, HIIT and studio classes. It is not a swim top, and chlorine will shorten the life of the spandex blend.

How should I wash it?

Cold machine wash with like colours, no bleach, tumble dry low or hang to dry, and no ironing or dry cleaning. Skip the fabric softener, which coats the knit and reduces stretch recovery.
